Tween 61, also known as polysorbate 61, is a yellow waxy solid at room temperature. Soluble in water, sulfuric acid and dilute alkali, the HLB value is 9.6, and it has the ability to disperse in the presence of certain salts. Used as an emulsifier, defoamer, lubricant, detergent, antistatic agent, etc.
